About The Position

JVS is a growing organization that is seeking full-time Development Associate to join our team. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Development, this position will support the programs and activities that secure funding from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government sources. This position will play a critical role in driving fundraising efforts across donor engagement, special events, grant development, communications, and community partnerships. As JVS continues to expand its programs and impact, we are looking for someone who brings energy, ownership, and a desire to be part of a team making a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Essential functions: Grants & Institutional Funding Own grant tracking system including deadlines, submissions, reporting, and status Conduct prospect research across foundations, corporations, and government sources Support proposal development and reporting through project coordination and light drafting Maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline of grant opportunities Event Management Assist JVS event operations from planning through on-site execution, including timelines, run of show, vendor coordination, and internal alignment Manage guest tracking, registration systems, seating, and check-in processes to ensure a smooth attendee experience Support revenue generation by tracking sponsorships, ticket sales, and donor participation, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals Lead post-event follow-up including attendee reporting, revenue reconciliation, and donor engagement tracking Fundraising Execution Plan and execute integrated fundraising campaigns across email, social, and direct mail Build and manage campaign timelines, segmentation, and deployment across channels Track campaign performance including revenue, conversion, and donor engagement Support best-in-class stewardship including donor communications, acknowledgements, and phone outreach Communications & Marketing Coordinate email marketing and basic social execution with internal team and external partners Support creation of donor-facing content including emails, impact reports, event materials, and outreach assets Work cross-functionally with program leads to capture and translate impact into clear, fundable narratives Assist in developing light creative assets such as program one-pagers, ads, and basic graphics

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
  • 1–4 years of experience in nonprofit development, marketing, operations, or related field
  • Comfortable working in CRM systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check
