About The Position

Provides administrative assistance and secretarial support as a member of the Gifts team in the hospital's Office of Philanthropy. The successful candidate will assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercises initiative and judgment. Contributes to a positive and professional work environment. This position requires a high degree of diplomacy and involves matters of a confidential and sensitive nature. This position may require flexibility of hours. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in office management or secretarial at an executive level, preferably in a hospital setting or knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Possess a mastery of office skills; excellent word processing skills (I.e. MS Word, Outlook), at least 45-60 words per minute accurately.
  • Ability to operate a 10-key calculator by sight and take meeting minutes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time, work independently on work assignments, exercise initiative and judgment.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional level of comportment and be sensitive to issues of confidentiality.
  • Flexibility to coordinate various projects, people and demands.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, must be flexible and willing to change tasks to meet department demands.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Interest and ability to learn new technology that supports the Office of Philanthropy.
