About The Position

Accepting applications from Jan 19 through Feb 19. Applicant selection occurs through Mar 15th. The internship will begin on either June 8, or June 15, 2025, and will run for a total of 10 weeks. As a Cheesecake Development Accounting Intern, you’ll play an important role in supporting our Development Accounting team by contributing to meaningful projects and hands-on responsibilities that align with your future career goals. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to how an Accounting department operates within a dynamic and collaborative business environment. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development Accounting, you’ll join an accounting team of seven, based in Calabasas Hills and Irvine, CA. Together, you’ll support the Development Accounting team function for The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated, a $3.6 billion public company with over 350 restaurants and more than 47,000 staff members nationwide. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution.
  • Completed a minimum 2 years in post-secondary education (including 25/26 school year).
  • Majoring in accounting, finance or business.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Available to work from the Irvine Development Office at least 3 days per week (Mon, Tues, Thurs).
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience using enterprise-level accounting software
  • Partner with the accounting team during month-end close activities, including accruals
  • Assist in the preparation and posting of journal entries
  • Support account reconciliation efforts and documentation
