About The Position

Maven is a market-leading proprietary trading firm deploying its own capital across discretionary, systematic, and market-making strategies. Backed by deep expertise in trading, technology, and research, the firm is relentlessly focused on improving liquidity across global listed derivatives. Through advanced execution and pricing technologies, Maven aims to improve how financial markets operate. The role involves performing full lifecycle development of software for proprietary trading, designing and implementing a high-performance User Interface (“UI”) technology stack from the ground up, and optimizing the frontend for handling intensive real-time data streams. This position will also involve mapping out greenfield development projects and gathering input directly from Traders and UI/UX Designers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field of study
Three (3) years of experience with JavaScript
Three (3) years of experience with React
Three (3) years of experience with TypeScript
Three (3) years of experience with UI development, including component and library development
Experience in the financial sector
UX and UI design principles

Responsibilities

Perform full lifecycle development of software for proprietary trading.
Design and implement high-performance User Interface (“UI”) technology stack from the ground up.
Optimize the frontend for handling intensive real-time data streams.
Map out greenfield development projects.
Gather input directly from Traders and UI/UX Designers.
Develop new software features, including improved user customization and sharing, and notifications handling.
Remove technical debt around legacy implementations of multi-code processing.
Increase the application scope by adding support for a wider range of datasets.
Migrate legacy applications which control pricing and external requests onto the strategic platform.
