Developer/Technical Lead

About the position

9th Way Insignia is looking for a Developer/Technical Lead to work with the Veterans Administration (VA) to support the implementation of our automated Zero Trust Maturity Analytics Platform, which will accelerate the Zero Trust assessment of systems at the VA. This position also serves an instrumental role in the ongoing design and development of future features of the Zero Trust platform as well as participating in the development of other technology initiatives for 9th Way’s Applied Analytics Team, within the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO).

Responsibilities

• 5+ years of experience with database design, modeling, and ETL development (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, NoSQL)
• 3+ years of experience developing automated data workflows using no-code/low-code data integration platforms (e.g., Alteryx, TriFacta, Informatica, Talend) Alteryx preferred.
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Power BI preferred.
• 3+ years of Microsoft Power Platform experience to include Power Apps (Canvas apps, Model-Driven), Dataverse, Power Automate
• 2+ years of data science experience, developing ML/AI projects in Python/Jupyter. Experience using Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). Experience leveraging 3rd-party systems’ APIs to extract data via Python API wrappers.
• Process automation experience is a plus (e.g., UiPath, Salesforce, Appian)
• Soft skills: Great at eliciting requirements, facing customers/users, great communication skills, articulate, work independently without a lot of oversight but collaborative as needed, agile, rapid development mindset, innovative thinker, problem solver, think outside the box, attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems Management or a related field.

• Masters in Data Science or Analytics preferred
• Experience with eMASS data structures and API syntax
• Advanced Data Analytics experience, algorithm development
