About The Position

We’re seeking a skilled Technical Developer to support the build, optimization, and ongoing enhancement of our Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Digital Strategy, this role will collaborate closely with marketing and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable, high-performing technical solutions. This role is hybrid: 2 days/week in the NYC office and 3 days/week remote.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proficiency with key SFMC components such as Automation Studio, Email Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, and Data Extensions
  • Experience writing SQL queries and AMPScript for personalization and automation
  • Familiarity with API integrations between SFMC and external systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines
  • Goal-oriented, proactive, self-starter with the ability to manage tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Developer) are a plus
  • Experience partnering with marketing teams or supporting marketing operations preferred
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and maintain SFMC journeys, automations, and personalized campaign assets
  • Build advanced segmentation, data extensions, and SQL-driven processes for efficient audience targeting
  • Implement AMPScript and server-side scripting for dynamic content and enhanced campaign functionality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across SFMC components
  • Partner with marketing stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements and deliver reliable solutions
  • Support API integrations to enable data sync, event triggers, and real-time personalization
  • End-to-end ownership of data flows into SFMC including CRM and other platform integrations. Ensure data accuracy, deliverability, governance, and platform best practices
  • Future-state platform capabilities (AI personalization, embedded forms, complex event-driven journeys)
  • Document processes, deployments, and technical specifications for ongoing operations
  • Partner with an external vendor to divide responsibilities as needed and drive results. Intent to reduce vendor dependency through internal ownership.
  • Provide support for reporting and data analysis
