The Developer/Programmer I at Shell Federal Credit Union is responsible for providing advanced computer support for the credit union's infrastructure. This role involves designing, coding, testing, and implementing software applications, as well as collaborating with third-party vendors and internal teams to enhance existing systems and develop new applications that integrate with current technologies.

  • Consistently meet all Shell FCU Service Commitments and comply with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Attend annual training sessions as instructed or scheduled.
  • Design, code, test, and implement current core banking software applications.
  • Work with third-party vendors to implement or upgrade applications and software.
  • Utilize established development tools and guidelines including Visual Studio, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#.
  • Investigate and optimize existing software systems by identifying and correcting defects.
  • Create documentation for planning, developing, testing, and implementation phases of coding.
  • Collaborate with a development team and the Project Management team.
  • Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives and preparing action plans.
  • Develop end-user applications that integrate with mobile, online, and in-house systems.
  • Design modules and programs while maintaining software specifications.
  • Work with CRM, SQL, Oracle, and other data gathering applications for reporting and trending.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • 1-3 years of similar or related experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or more than five years of work-related experience.
  • Knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Object-oriented design and programming experience using the .NET framework.
  • Proficient in Visual Studio 2019 or above.
  • Proficient in Web Services, C#, ASP.NET, XML, Power-Shell, Microsoft SQL Server, and MongoDB.
  • Strong communication skills with a member-service oriented attitude.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and handle workloads during emergencies.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity scenarios.
  • Experience in an open-concept workspace.
