Okta is seeking a Social Media Lead to be in charge of Auth0's Social Media Strategy, tell the Auth0 story to developers across all of the Auth0 social channels and maintain a vibrant community and conversations across developer-related channels. You will lead a Social Media Manager and have the support of the Developer-Led Growth org, including the Developer Relations team. You will develop one-of-a-kind global campaigns, and create and execute on a social strategy. We're working to significantly grow the reach and quality of our social presence this year and you will be a pivotal part of this expansion.

  • Define and execute Auth0's global social media strategy including Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, etc.
  • Craft creative, on-brand content for Auth0's owned social accounts.
  • Identify what content to promote — from brand campaigns to event registrations — and on which channel.
  • Develop processes and best practices to scale our social media function.
  • Work closely with internal partners to ensure cross-promotional efforts remain on brand.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and make recommendations for innovative campaigns.
  • Consistently set goals, and measure and optimize to reach them.
  • Manage a Social Media Manager and influence other thought leaders in the Auth0 Product Unit to expand the reach of the Social Media function.
  • Answer developer questions found on social media, forums, and comments.
  • Capture and drive feedback to respective product, DevRel teams.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in social media, either in-house or at an agency.
  • Experience leading, influencing and managing others.
  • Possess great verbal and written communication skills when working directly with developers as an audience.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Developer community, trends, how devs interact/communicate, what motivates them and how to help them, etc.
  • Inherent ability to switch to execution mode fast and report on impact.
  • Experience managing the day-to-day operations of social media channels, including content creation, publishing, community management, and analytics.
  • Proven ability to create content in multiple formats, including videos, carousels, etc.
  • Ability to turn social measurement into insights and create actionable, data-backed reports, compile results, and provide recommendations.
  • Comfortable thinking out of the box, running experiments and POCs.
  • Self-driven, work well remotely, while maintaining strong visibility internally and to external developer communities.
  • Experience with social media publishing, listening, and analytics tools like Sprout Social.
  • Technical understanding of the Identity landscape and ideal experience in Authentication (APIs, protocols, etc.) is preferable.
