The Developer III position at Palmetto GBA involves performing all phases of applications systems analysis and design. The role requires analyzing systems specifications and developing applications to support information systems processes. The developer will prepare detailed specifications from which complex programs will be written, and will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and maintaining these programs. The position also involves formulating scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems. In this role, the developer will ensure that team members understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. It is essential to maintain organizational standards and ensure that applications are delivered according to project timelines. The developer will provide expert system knowledge, perform research, attend meetings, and review documents to support the development process. Additionally, the developer will maintain and modify programs according to specifications, code, compile, and implement application software that is delivered on time and within budget. They will evaluate basic interrelationships in the immediate programming area to determine how changes in one program will affect another related area. Testing modified programs, creating necessary test files and data, verifying logic, debugging, and writing relevant documentation are also key responsibilities. The developer will analyze production systems, recommend enhancements, provide instruction to the production support team, and coordinate the implementation of modifications or enhancements. The position requires analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems, developing functional design and technical specifications, concept diagrams, workflow diagrams, and related procedures to process data using the appropriate systems environment/platform. Documentation of programs and procedures is also a critical part of the role.
