Neuberger Berman is seeking a proactive developer to support the firm's enterprise data platform initiatives. This individual will focus on developing, maintaining, and optimizing components of the enterprise data platform to enable the firm's data-driven innovation and operational excellence. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions and ensure the seamless delivery of data capabilities across the organization. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and technically proficient professional looking to contribute to the firm's data and analytics vision, while furthering their expertise in modern data technologies and cloud-based solutions.

  • Assist in the design, development, and deployment of data platform components, focusing on scalability, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion, storage, processing, and publication pipelines using tools such as Snowflake, Kafka, Spark, and Data Bricks.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and platform architects to implement cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Support the development of data engineering pipelines to enable analytics and machine learning capabilities.
  • Contribute to the integration of the enterprise data platform with other systems to ensure seamless data flow and usability for stakeholders across the firm.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing platform components to improve performance and reliability.
  • Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies to improve platform capabilities and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards in all development activities.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of related experience in data engineering, platform development, or similar roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with data platform tools such as Java, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, and Data Bricks.
  • Familiarity with technologies for data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud deployment models.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience working with large-scale data systems.
  • Foundational knowledge of data governance, data security, and best practices for enterprise data management.
  • Understanding of scalable data pipelines and workflows to support analytics and business intelligence.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges independently.
  • Desire to stay up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to the firm's data innovation.
