About The Position

We have an opening for a Developer III - Financial and IT Modeling & Analytics expertise. In this role, you will serve as a consultant on our team and develop and maintain financial modeling applications for our client. You will work closely with the client's finance team to understand their needs and translate them into functional software. You will also test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency and identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle. Collaboration with internal client teams and vendors to fix and improve products is a critical part of this role. Your primary assignment will be to develop and maintain in‑house R packages and shiny applications, as well as implementing best practices in development workflow and version control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor (must-have), Master (preferred), or Ph.D. (a plus) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience.
  • Technical skill requirements: Modeling Algorithms, Predictive Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Visualizations, ETL R, Shiny Apps, R Studio & Connect, SQL, Python, Bash, Github.
  • This hybrid position (DMV preferred) requires the ability to go into the office 2-3 days per week and work effectively from a home office — even in an environment with moderate background noise.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS experience is a plus.
  • Financial service industry experience is a plus.
