About The Position

Our ibm.com team designs, builds, writes, publishes, localizes, and optimizes our digital content to provide a productive experience for all IBM constituencies. As a Developer Advocate within the ibm.com team, you'll harness your skills to engage in the development of explainers and tutorials, which will focus on common technological use cases that can be solved for using not only IBM's, but also, open source tools. Additionally, you will assist and produce various forms of video content relevant to the needs of our community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Transform dense technical topics into engaging, informative and interesting educational materials.
  • Self-driven learning on new technologies.
  • Programming experience, particularly in Python, and are familiar with prompt engineering and how to build simple applications with popular open-source AI frameworks.
  • Able to work independently, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork.
  • Have experience as a technical writer and/or content creation.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate Degree
  • Publicly available open-source contributions.
  • Enjoy public speaking at meetups, conferences, and internal events.
  • Willing to volunteer to stretch assignments beyond your job scope.
  • Experience with the Adobe Experience Manager a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Build authoritative content focused on topics related to the Data and AI space to encourage and drive adoption.
  • Leverage internal product enablement, market and academic research, books, top articles and videos on search engines to inform your content.
  • Drive organic traffic outcomes to the IBM website as well as progress users further down the marketing funnel.
