Transform technology into opportunity as a Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME) at GDIT. Shape what’s next for mission-critical government projects while shaping what’s next for your engineering career. As a Kubernetes SME, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Department of Defense Combatant Command, US Central Command. You will play a crucial role in enabling DevSecOps, CI/CD, and mission-ready application deployment through Kubernetes, Docker, and emerging DoD container technologies. Serve as the technical lead for all Kubernetes-related initiatives across enclaves. Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and container runtimes. Support container security, RBAC, compliance (e.g., STIG, RMF), and image scanning using DoD-approved tools (e.g., Trivy). Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers to integrate Kubernetes into CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab). Design and support container orchestration for microservices and legacy modernization efforts. Contribute to Zero Trust Architecture enforcement within Kubernetes workloads. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members and support ATO documentation.
