About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join a team building, automating, and securing our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines across both Linux and Windows backend environments. This role partners with cybersecurity engineers, network engineers, system administrators, and developers to integrate security best practices into every stage of the development lifecycle, ensuring that mission-critical applications and infrastructure are deployed securely and reliably. This role also requires a deep understanding of hybrid environments (Linux and Windows servers), multiple CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and a commitment to security automation aligned with DoD standards. This position supports the AFRL/RW.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related. 6 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8+ years in DevOps, software engineering, or cybersecurity.
  • Strong CI/CD experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps.
  • Active Secret clearance is required.
  • Linux and Windows server hardening & compliance (RMF/STIG).
  • Scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation) and config management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, DSC).
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

  • 10 years' experience DevOps, software engineering, or cybersecurity strongly preferred.
  • Active TS/SCI/SAP eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and secure cross-platform CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate provisioning and configuration of build/test environments for Linux and Windows.
  • Manage the DevSecOps toolchain (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, artifact repositories, deployment tools).
  • Integrate security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) into pipelines.
  • Apply DISA STIGs and RMF controls to Linux and Windows systems.
  • Automate hardening with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell DSC.
  • Deploy Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Monitor, document, and train teams on secure CI/CD practices.
