About The Position

The Full-Stack Software Developers reporting into the Release & OTA function, are responsible for driving a diverse and highly skilled group of software engineers to deliver world class DevOps systems. Within the DevOps team this position has specific responsibility for driving the development of Ford's global Release & Update capability across millions of vehicles. This includes delivering Over The Air (OTA) software updates to our customers at scale. The candidate for this role must be able to adapt in a rapidly changing environment and drive consistency of purpose for a complex organization. Prior experience in driving cross functional teams in multifaceted technical and regulatory constrained environments is essential. The candidate will have demonstrated strong collaboration in delivering technical initiatives, quickly turning concepts into functioning code. Prior experience in cloud software engineering or embedded systems in associated industries is an advantage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
  • 3+ years experience as Full Stack Engineer, leveraging object oriented language(s) such as Java/Spring Framework, C++, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years developing REST/Queue based interfaces.
  • 3+ years developing APIs using back-end technologies such as Node.js, Go, Python.
  • 3+ years working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, database design, and SQL Queries.
  • 3+ years working with cloud platforms like GCP, Azure, or AWS.
  • 3+ years implementing front-end user interfaces using frameworks such as React or Angular.
