About The Position

Leidos Public Health and Human Services Operation is seeking a DevSecOps and CI/CD Lead, contingent upon contract award. Candidate MUST: Be local to the Washington DC Metro area and be able to work onsite; be a US Citizen or US Person (Green Card holder) with the ability to obtain a Public Trust level 5 Clearance. The candidate will establish and manage CI/CD pipeline guidelines of an HHS project which supports the mission of ensuring the safety and efficacy of biological products. This candidate will be responsible for performing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) support related activities in support of center's Technical Architect or the COR's designee. The candidate will perform configuration, maintenance, and upgrades to center's CI/CD pipelines, their underlying components, and associated artifact repositories.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 8 years of related experience; additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Experience working with Agile software development teams and implementing continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools like Jenkins, GitLab
  • Experience with automated test tools like Selenium, Cucumber, or JMeter
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions
  • Experience provisioning and managing resources within the Cloud infrastructures
  • Experience with container technologies such as OpenShift, Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Experience with automated provisioning and configuration tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar technologies
  • Excellent problem solving and analysis skills, including the ability to logically create structure and order from unstructured inputs

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent knowledge of cloud security best practices and solutions in cloud security posture management and cloud security workload management
  • Hands-on experience with log collection, normalizing, and management; security infrastructure and policies; and risk mitigation
  • Knowledge about the current security threat landscape and common tactics, techniques and procedures used in offensive security

Responsibilities

  • Write code and scripts that automate provisioning of containers and services
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical and stakeholder issues with the pipelines
  • Identify and implement automation that will improve the performance and reliability of the pipelines including scripting, integration, problem resolution, and configuration management
  • Ensure that all required checks and scans are occurring in the pipeline as scheduled/required (e.g., security scans, commit checks, deploy time checks, code coverage)
  • Create and manage documents and diagrams required to support and document the DevSecOps environment
  • Implement alerting and monitoring for CI/CD pipeline environment and components to immediately alert stakeholders of issues and risks with the pipeline
  • Produce metrics and dashboards to provide qualitative and quantitative measures of quality, security, accessibility, and progress
