About The Position

The DevOps Engineering Intern at Panasonic Avionics Corporation will join the DevOps Engineering team in Irvine, CA, focusing on enhancing production issue response times, improving developer self-service, and advancing CI/CD practices. This paid internship is set to begin in June and will run through August 2025, with potential for continuation during the school year.

Requirements

• Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical major
• Familiar with software development
• Basic understanding of software testing methodologies
• Entry-level experience with a major programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Go
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A desire to learn and take initiative with problem solving
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS or other cloud computing platforms
• Working knowledge of container-based technologies such as Docker

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as part of a development team to build tools for automating software development tasks
• Participate in agile software development ceremonies
• Ensure deliverables comply with the latest industry and company standards for design, code quality, performance, and security
• Conduct design and code reviews with team members and maintain up-to-date documentation
• Support software releases, including fixing bugs in the product pipelines
