About The Position

The DevOps/Infrastructure Admin position at Fidelity Information Services involves implementing and supporting best practices in software development lifecycle management, build management, and application deployment. The role requires collaboration with customers and team members to ensure alignment with business strategies and compliance with architectural standards. The position focuses on automating processes for product releases and supporting developers with tools and environment availability.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years' experience in DevOps.
  • Experience creating Helm charts and deploying Kubernetes objects using Helm charts.
  • OpenShift deployment experience.
  • Experience using Nexus 3 Repository Manager.
  • Experience using Maven 3 and Jenkins 2.
  • Deep understanding of SCMs including SVN and GIT.
  • Experience managing and deploying applications to J2EE application servers such as JBoss and WebSphere.
  • Strong experience in source control management tools such as SVN and GIT.
  • Experience maintaining continuous integration software such as Bamboo and Jenkins.
  • Experience with build tools such as Maven, ANT, and GRUNT.
  • Experience with Unix/Shell scripting and PowerShell scripting.
  • Some experience with database (SQL) scripts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Terraform.
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Experience with Puppet.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain tools to support and automate processes for multiple product releases.
  • Write scripts to automate processes for deployment and release and establish documentation such as release notes and deployment guides.
  • Work with project teams to determine an appropriate build schedule and automate the build and packaging process.
  • Compile and assemble software from source code.
  • Support developers for development tools including source control, testing tools, and IDEs.
  • Work with developers to use best practices for source control management (SCM).
  • Support development efforts with environment availability and releases.
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues related to environment/build.
