About The Position

The Development Operations (DevOps) Engineer is responsible for designing and building automated processes keeping reproducibility, auditability, and traceability in for deployment, monitoring and operations for the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract to administer, maintain, secure, and accredit the DLIFLC Academic Network which provides the IT environment for 100% of the DLIFLC teaching and instructing for all students, staff, faculty, and guests in a learning environment at the unclassified level.

Requirements

• BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years experience, with any one of the following: IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) Certification and CE/OS Certification.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby); expertise in CI/CD tools, CM tools, container technologies, and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of operating systems, familiarity with major cloud providers like Azure, or GCP; knowledge of the entire software development process, including Agile methodologies.
• Experience of Windows and Linux operating systems administration, VMWare ESXi deployment, and operations experience.
• Experience with GitLab, Microsoft Team Foundation, SAN technologies, and applications.
• Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

• Providing customized continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) solutions that are fully compliant with ITIL change, incident, and configuration management processes.
• Planning, installation, maintenance during or after-work hours, troubleshooting, and managing all DevOps servers and applications.
