About The Position

We're looking for a DevOps engineer to help us keep the gears turning; and not just because we want to keep up; we're all about getting ahead. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and use your infrastructure automation skills to make a real difference, we should talk.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of industry experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, etc.).
  • Familiarity with OCI-compliant container technologies (e.g, docker, podman, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of build tools and release management across an array of technologies (RPM, Python, Maven, etc.).
  • Experience deploying, administering, and building pipelines with GitLab.
  • Experience administering RedHat Enterprise Linux or similar distributions.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management and version control practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Secret or higher clearance.
  • DoD 8570.1 certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of networking configurations and hardware, especially with Cisco equipment (DNS, routing, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
  • Experience using automated testing and security scanning tools (SonarQube, Fortify, etc.).
  • Experience with interpreting, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity baseline configurations (STIG, NIST 800-52 and 800-171, etc.).
  • Familiarity with hypervisors and managing virtual environments (ProxMox, VMWare, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • CI/CD in Action: In our factory dev/test environment, we're all about automated software installs. Multiple times a day, we keep things moving.
  • Support systems deployed across the U.S., with some travel to work hands-on with the systems and their operators.
  • Design with the end in mind to influence customer perception and support our Field Engineers.
  • Dive into application troubleshooting and solve complex issues on the fly.
  • Help harden our baseline and secure accreditation for future program growth.
  • Work on system builds from the ground up.
  • Build and improve processes for Developers, Field Engineers, and customers using tools like Puppet, Ansible, GitLab-CI, Jenkins, and Containerization.
