About The Position

With a small team of just 32 people and $22 million in funding, each new hire significantly influences the company's trajectory. As a DevOps Engineer at Mintlify, you will play a crucial role in scaling our infrastructure. We are currently at an inflection point, needing to expand our capabilities to support our rapidly growing user base. You will be responsible for monitoring and scaling our AWS infrastructure (EKS and ECS), migrating services from third-party vendors to our own AWS/EKS infrastructure, building observability and alerting systems to ensure high uptime, improving deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes, and collaborating with backend engineers to implement scalable infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• Strong experience with AWS services, particularly EKS (Kubernetes) and ECS.
• Experience building reliable, observable systems at scale.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Comfortable with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).
• Ability to manage complex migrations from 0-to-1.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical decisions to the broader team.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and scale AWS infrastructure (EKS and ECS) to support a growing user base.
• Migrate services from third-party vendors to AWS/EKS infrastructure.
• Build observability and alerting systems to ensure 99.9%+ uptime.
• Improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes for the engineering team.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to architect and implement scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Work alongside the current DevOps expert to establish best practices.
