About The Position

Nominal is a venture-backed company with offices in Los Angeles, Austin, and New York City. Requirements

• Proven engineering expertise in developing, deploying, and monitoring infrastructure for high-scale distributed systems or complex tools.
• Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills with a systems thinking approach.
• Dynamic leadership and team player qualities, with humility and eagerness to learn.
• Solid track record in managing the full cycle from planning to deployment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting applications.

Responsibilities

• Empower engineering velocity by building and improving DevOps and cloud infrastructure systems.
• Own the systems for deploying and managing cloud infrastructure, refining CI/CD pipelines, and improving developer experience.
• Manage tradeoffs between effort vs value, short-term vs long-term growth, and other tensions that may arise.
• Solve and streamline issues with autonomy to fix problems quickly.
