About The Position

As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll use your development experience to streamline the software development life cycle in a multi-cloud Kubernetes environment. Together with a team of experienced professionals, you will support the building and maintenance of a DevSecOps pipeline using the latest open source technologies. You will use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate everything from configuration management to infrastructure provisioning. Using your software engineering knowledge, you will work with your team to bring other organizations on board with DevOps and champion the adoption of related processes, tools, and roles. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with developing tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
  • 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
  • 3+ years of experience developing, deploying, and managing cloud applications, including AWS.
  • 3+ years of experience with deploying to and managing applications within Kubernetes using Helm charts.
  • 1+ year of experience in writing IaC with Terraform.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • HS diploma or GED and 5+ years of experience with DevOps, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with DevOps.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting or object-oriented programming, including in Bash, Python, Groovy, or Golang.
  • Experience with Kubernetes Operators, Rancher, and RKE2.
  • Experience with using or managing ArgoCD, Grafana, or Elasticsearch.
  • Experience with Jenkins or GitLab Runners.
  • Experience with Terragrunt, Pulumi, or Crossplane.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Developer Certification.
  • Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments.
  • Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage cloud applications, including AWS.
  • Deploy to and manage applications within Kubernetes using Helm charts.
  • Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
  • Work with application development teams across the software development life cycle and create solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment.
