About The Position

Piper Companies is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a growing technology organization located in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. The DevOps Engineer role is hybrid requiring onsite in the office 3 days a week. A successful candidate for the DevOps Engineer will possess a strong background in automation and IAC.

Requirements

• Over 2 years of professional DevOps engineering experience
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, Azure DevOps)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog)
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python

Responsibilities

• Provides System/DevOps best practices to influence design and implementation approaches and solutions
• Maintain and configure CI/CD plans, develop installation tools, configure and automate the deployment of new environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve and create processes related to dev ops
• Lead, drive, and implement highly scalable and complex solutions in secure environment
