About The Position

At The Language Doctors, we deliver high-quality linguistic services with an expanding global presence. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud security, infrastructure automation, and compliance-driven operations. This leader will bridge software development and infrastructure, working closely with IT to ensure scalable, secure, and resilient systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or IT operations, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS required; Azure/GCP a plus).
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Experience with CI/CD, containers, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux administration, O365, and Active Directory.
  • Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC, PCI, CMMC, ISO 27001).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Go).
  • Proven track record as a technical advisor/SME in security and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with developers and engineers to foster a culture of accountability, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Support cloud services (AWS preferred) including IaaS and automation through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Apply and maintain cloud security best practices across deployments.
  • Implement compliance-driven requirements (HIPAA, SOC, CMMC, PCI, ISO 27001).
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery.
  • Build and maintain containerization and orchestration environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation, monitoring, and observability using tools such as Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Provide support for Active Directory domains, group policies, and access controls.
  • Configure and troubleshoot virtual networking components, firewalls, and VPNs in cloud and remote environments.
  • Participate in incident response, disaster recovery, and security monitoring.
  • Assist with e-discovery processes, documentation, and audits.
  • Act as a subject matter resource for infrastructure and IT security, providing guidance to colleagues as needed.
  • Support the development and implementation of IT policies to ensure compliance with international standards.
