About The Position

Ensure the safety and security of our nation as a Systems Engineer (DevOps) at GDIT. Our work depends on the Systems Engineer (DevOps) joining our team to support the deployment of systems and capabilities centered on our comprehensive motion imagery software suite. The DevOps Engineer will support operations of a non-internet accessible on-prem hybrid environment built primarily on Kubernetes.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
  • Five or more years of related DevOps engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, OR equivalent four years job-related experience, OR Master's degree with three years of job-related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience employing DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience working in a Kubernetes-based environment.
  • Knowledge of container and Linux host networking.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and Elastic stack.
  • Excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal, and team building skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in complex environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an array of skills within the DevOps discipline.
  • Support the deployment of systems and capabilities centered on motion imagery software.
  • Employ development and/or scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Java, C#).
  • Utilize Linux OS experience.
  • Manage source code using tools like Git and artifact repositories.
  • Use automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
  • Work with build/packaging tools such as Gradle, Maven, and Poetry.
  • Build, secure, and operate containers in a dynamic environment.
  • Administer Kubernetes clusters and deploy workloads using Helm.
