The DevOps Engineer III at Verisk Analytics is responsible for administering and building complex Development Continuous Integration pipelines, ensuring successful end-to-end deployments, and managing AWS resources. This role involves leading production migrations, providing off-hour support for mission-critical applications, and mentoring junior colleagues to enhance their skills and independence.

  • Administer and build complex Development Continuous Integration pipelines.
  • Design Build plans and assist developers with failures.
  • Manage software configurations and ensure end-to-end deployments succeed.
  • Plan Cloud environment and implement the plan.
  • Lead Production Migrations during off-hours and provide support for troubleshooting.
  • Provide direction to developers regarding server troubleshooting and application errors.
  • Debug Production Outages and take actions based on root cause analysis.
  • Monitor Production Environment to maintain system stability and performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior colleagues, assisting them with their tasks.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of proven experience with Linux Administration, Windows Administration, and IIS Management.
  • Deep understanding of IIS concepts and settings.
  • 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, CLI, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple monitoring tools and data mining techniques.
  • Proficient in Bash, Chef, PowerShell, Python, XML, and web concepts such as REST APIs and HTTP methods.
  • Demonstrated mastery of Development tools and methodologies, including Firewall concepts and network connectivity.
  • Deep experience with Continuous Integration/Deployment Technologies such as Atlassian Bamboo, Octopus Deploy, MSBuild, NUnit, GIT, Maven, Docker.
  • Proven experience driving adoption of new technology into existing systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • AWS Certification(s) are highly preferred (Associate or Professional level).
  • Experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
