About The Position

3rd Eye is disrupting the traditional Fleet Safety Video Monitoring and Telematics industries with leading high-quality media and reliable digital delivery. Our services are engineered for high availability, maximum reach, and cost savings for our customers. Fleet managers can watch live streams or review safety events instantly, from any device, to monitor their vehicle fleet. Our technology is the cornerstone of our industry, and our customers use it to improve their fleet safety, operational, and maintenance performance. 3rd Eye is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer II that can build culture and automation to empower our software delivery teams to deploy continuously. You will help manage our AWS infrastructure, as well as engineer and maintain a fully automated CI/CD pipeline. In addition, you will develop internal standards and work with software delivery teams to provide them the autonomy necessary to deliver, test and monitor our applications using DevOps best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency with AWS Cloud services, including EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and Aurora DB.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, or Pulumi.
  • Solid understanding of Docker and containerized microservice deployments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Ansible playbooks for configuration management.
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and event‑driven design patterns.
  • Proficiency with GitHub and GitLab for version control, branching strategies, and code review workflows.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana and CloudWatch.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams including Development, QA, and Product.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms.
  • Familiarity with AWS ECS, EKS, or Fargate for containerized workloads.
  • Knowledge of distributed tracing and advanced observability tools (OpenTelemetry).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Exposure to security best practices, including IAM policy design, secrets management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Good understanding of AWS Security stacks such as GuardDuty, Inspector, Macie, SecurityHub, Detective.
  • Relevant Professional Certification(s) in AWS and/or Linux.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, AWS CDK, or Pulumi.
  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for configuration management and environment consistency.
  • Work with container orchestration patterns and best practices for microservice deployments.
  • Manage and optimize workloads on AWS Cloud, including EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and Aurora DB.
  • Implement and maintain serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and related services.
  • Use GitHub and GitLab for source control, branching strategies, code reviews, and workflow automation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment processes.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations and incident response, ensuring timely resolution and root‑cause analysis.
  • Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and best practices for DevOps processes.
  • Travel is required up to 30%.
