The DevOps Consultant for Compliance Automation at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a technical role focused on enhancing security solutions through automation. This position involves collaborating with customers and partners to address complex challenges at the intersection of cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI/ML. The consultant will design and implement cloud-based solutions, educate business partners, and contribute to innovative security practices within the AWS Global Services Security team.

  • Design and code modules for infrastructure, applications, and processes.
  • Solve security and business problems through automation using code and integrating AWS-native and third-party tools via API.
  • Align on requirements and communicate results and recommendations both verbally and in writing.
  • Educate business partners about solutions and potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Data Scientists, and Service Engineering teams to drive feature innovation based on customer needs.
  • Create white papers, write blogs, and build demos and other reusable collateral for customers.
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a technical specialist.
  • Hands-on experience deploying applications and provisioning infrastructure with Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as REGO, Go, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows and tools, such as GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, AWS Code Deploy, and AWS AFT/CfCT.
  • Experience in developing API and orchestrating API integration while prioritizing security best practices.
  • Experience in developing policy-as-code (OPA with REGO and/or cfn-guard).
  • Experience in AppSec and implementing secure coding best practices in IaC and applications.
  • Knowledge of IP networking, segmentation, IAM, encryption, DNS, load balancing.
  • Experience implementing and designing cloud-native security concepts, DevSecOps, or MLOps.
