If you answered 'YES' the Wake County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Finance Coordinator who is ready to play a central role in supporting strong financial operations and informed decision-making across our department. In this role, you will provide supervision and leadership to shift staff within the Inmate Finance and Property Division, which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You will plan, assign and oversee daily work activities, preparing shift schedules and delegating responsibilities to the Detention Finance Technician. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving time records, conducting performance evaluations and administering corrective or disciplinary actions in accordance with county policies, serving as the primary point of contact for Detention staff on duty, and facilitating the resolution of operational issues, inquiries and emergent concerns. Additionally, you will investigate inquiries from the public or inmates regarding financial or property matters and, in cases involving reported property losses, prepare and submit documentation to the county’s Insurance and Risk Management division for review and resolution.
