About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of detection content across large-scale security systems. You will manage end-to-end release processes, monitor runtime telemetry, and triage anomalies to maintain the efficacy of deployed detections. Working closely with detection engineers and operational teams, you will help scale detection operations, improve release pipelines, and create dashboards and playbooks for monitoring. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and can collaborate across multiple functions. Your contributions will directly impact the security and stability of critical systems, enabling operational excellence and consistent threat protection. This role is remote-friendly, open to candidates in Mountain, Central, or Eastern Time Zones.

Requirements

  • Experience with threat detection platforms, SIEMs, EDRs, or detection-driven security workflows.
  • Background in SRE, QA, release engineering, or a similar operational role.
  • Comfort with telemetry, logs, dashboards, and anomaly detection in large-scale distributed systems.
  • Experience executing or coordinating structured releases in CI/CD environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on root cause analysis.
  • Energetic self-starter with ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills for triage and cross-functional alignment.
  • Passion for detection engineering, threat analysis, or security research.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience analyzing big data to monitor software quality metrics and identify anomalies.
  • Prior experience building dashboards or telemetry pipelines to track system health.
  • Security experience with always-on systems, endpoint threat detections, or sensor development.

Responsibilities

  • Execute detection content deployments and manage progression through internal release pipelines.
  • Monitor runtime telemetry and system health to detect anomalies, regressions, or unexpected behavior.
  • Perform first-level triage on anomalous detection hits and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
  • Define and implement rollback and alerting mechanisms to standardize response to deployment issues.
  • Create and maintain dashboards, playbooks, and other tools for monitoring detection content health.
  • Provide feedback to detection authors and QA teams to improve detection accuracy and release reliability.
  • Automate processes and improve tooling to reduce operational friction and enhance release efficiency.
  • Draft customer-facing release notes and manage internal communications for each release.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.
  • Remote-friendly and flexible work culture.
