Requirements

  • Current enrollment in Information Technology or related degree program.
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related major
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal).
  • Experience in accessing and analyzing data
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns in data and produce relevant visualization.
  • Knowledge and practical use of Python or other scripting languages for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and the desire to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Scripting & Automation: Assist in developing scripts and automation workflows to streamline detection and response processes.
  • Alert Triage: Participate in the initial analysis and prioritization of security alerts to identify potential threats.
  • Detection Engineering: Help design and test new detection rules and logic to improve threat identification.
  • Threat Hunting: Support proactive investigations to uncover hidden threats using behavioral analytics and threat intelligence.
  • Visibility Projects: Contribute to small-scale initiatives aimed at improving telemetry, logging, and overall visibility across systems.
