About The Position

ADESA Auto Auction is hiring immediately for the position of Automotive Detailer in Hoffman Estates, IL. This role is essential for maintaining the quality and appearance of vehicles in preparation for sale. The position is divided into two levels: Detail Technician I (entry level) and Detail Technician II (intermediate & expert level).

Requirements

• Entry-level position with a willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Basic understanding of vehicle cleaning and detailing processes

Nice To Haves

• Experience in automotive detailing or related field
• Knowledge of paint correction techniques
• Ability to perform quality inspections

Responsibilities

• Work in team units tasked with vehicle cleaning, detailing, and sale ready prep
• Learn & apply proper techniques for exterior and interior cleaning processes
• Learn & apply vehicle inspection techniques to maintain proper standards
• Preparation for advanced techniques
• May work independently in special designated 'final finish' areas
• Machine compound, polish, and buff surfaces as necessary
• Apply paint correction techniques to remove swirls, scratches, scuffs, and other imperfections
• Paint touch-up as necessary
• Applies advanced techniques to interior rejuvenation, stain removal, odor remediation
• Provides spot checks and final vehicle quality inspections
