American Buildings Company, A Nucor Company, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Steel Detailer/BIM Modeler at our facility in El Paso, IL. This is an entry level position. As a Steel Detailer/ BIM Modeler, you will be responsible for detailing all components of a custom metal building system including the primary steel framing, secondary steel framing, wall panel systems, roof panel systems, and all associated flashings and trims to ensure all components fit together correctly as part of a complete design solution. This will include: Creating construction anchor bolt drawings, Creating permit/approval drawings, Creating electronic 3D models of custom-building systems using 3D drafting software, Creating shop drawings and reports for in-house fabrication and production teams, Creating erection drawings and bill of materials for field construction use.
