About The Position

Detail Technician - Saturdays Lighthouse is looking for an individual who exudes a servant heart, has a good work ethic, and good communication skills, with a high attention to detail - who is available to work on Saturdays. Summary Detail Technicians go the extra mile to clean dealership and customer vehicles (both inside and out) and a job well done is a vital part of Lighthouse's great customer service. Pay: $16-$17 per hour Hours: Saturdays from 8 AM to 4 PM Benefits: 401k with matching employer contribution, employee discounts. Essential Duties Wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows and wipe down doorjamb. Apply wax to auto body, wipe or buff surface. Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris. Clean upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices. Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals. Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents. Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgement and following product manufacturer's recommendations. Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation. Restore appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces - use touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials. Use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection. Fill vehicle with fuel. Apply dressing on tires and tire wells. Replace missing or defective small parts. Ensure proper stickers are displayed in vehicle's window - removing all window stickers on sold vehicles. Keep work area neat and clean and operate all tools and equipment in a safe manor - reporting safety issues to management. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Applicants must have a valid Driver's License. High School diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
