About The Position

PURPOSE: The Detail Dept. Technician cleans and details new and used automobiles and arranges vehicle inventory. CORE DUTIES: Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes. Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine. Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner. Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devises.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Must be approved by company insurance company
Manual dexterity.
Good judgment.
Must wear company supplied uniform
Ability to lift 20 lbs
Must have a tolerance to normal shop noise(i.e. tools, equipt, cars etc)

Responsibilities

Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devises.
Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain-resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
Application of aftermarket products
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Serve on the safety committee when elected
Attend company sponsored training
Ability to assist in snow removal on sales lot and vehicle
