About The Position

The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the deployment, management and maintenance of workstations operating systems and software. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well in a team in a fast paced environment. The Desktop Engineer will also be involved in system upgrades, troubleshooting and ensuring seamless integration of new technology within OppFi.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience scripting required (Powershell preferred, Bash or Python)
  • 3+ years experience building and managing either SCCM, Intune, NinjaRMM, Kaseya, or Jamf
  • 3+ years experience standardizing and managing Windows and Mac systems
  • 3+ years experience in remediation of vulnerabilities discovered on workstations
  • Experience with Atlassian productivity tools to provide ticket updates and team documentation
  • Experience managing users and computers within Active Directory and working knowledge of Group Policy Objects
  • Experience working in and supporting a hybrid environment
  • Basic network knowledge to troubleshoot device connectivity(WIFI, VLANs, etc)
  • Experience managing users and computers within Active Directory

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and manage workstation configuration management platform
  • Package, test and deploy applications and configurations across the enterprise
  • Deploy Windows and Mac OS along with 3rd party patches across the computing environment
  • Remediation of Vulnerabilities on workstations
  • Develop policies, procedures, and best practices for our Service Desk
  • Be part of cross-team projects with Security and Platform Engineering
  • Manage our office systems and operations
  • Partner with the design and maintenance of our hybrid work environment
  • Maintain an imaging solution for Windows and Mac OS deployment
  • Remediation of vulnerabilities on Windows and Mac workstations along with various network devices
  • Mentor and develop junior team members
  • Upgrade and maintain firmware on various network and IT related infrastructure.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Be part of cross-team projects with other technology teams
  • Part of an on-call rotation
