As a Desktop Support Supervisor, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. With minimal supervision, the Tier 2 Systems Administrator works as part of an enterprise team to provide support on multiple Department of Defense (DoD) networks and enclaves. You will manage services using on-premise hardware and perform regular hardware and software updates. Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of laptops, desktops, and Zero Clients. Provides technical support and troubleshooting to Tier 1 & 2 support. Deliver technical support to the Enterprise components as required. Additionally, you must be able to implement system management tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP). How a Desktop Support Supervisor Will Make an Impact As the Desktop Support Supervisor, you will: Supervise a Desktop Support team installing and maintaining virtual assets, towers, laptops, peripherals, and VOIPS across multiple enclaves. Read, understand, and apply complex technical information; master new computer technology; maintain cooperative working relationships. Interact with other Tier 1, 2, and/or 3 teams or contractors to restore service and/or identify core problems. Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner to end users and customers. Participate in new application and hardware rollouts, testing, and special projects as needed. Work on assignments that are moderately complex in nature. Additionally, you will provide systems administrative support in areas such as: Active Directory System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) Exchange Information Security File Shares PKI Virus protection

Requirements

  • Skills: Computer Backups, Disaster Recovery (DR), Information Technology (IT) Systems, Systems Management
  • Experience: 5 + years of related experience
  • US Citizenship Required: Yes
  • High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of related experience, or Associate degree with 4 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience.
  • 4+ years in at least three of the following areas: VDI, Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, Information Security, Desktop applications.
  • 2+ years configuration, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows 11 Desktops.
  • Ability to support a 24x7x365 work schedule, shift work, and travel as required in support of customer initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Networking fundamentals.
  • Exposure to DoD Configuration Management, Information Assurance, and Systems Lifecycle Management processes.
  • Creating and updating lifecycle documentation as required.
  • Clearance Level: TS/SCI required
  • Required Certification(s): Security+ CE Certification required; DoD compliance 8570.01M applies.

  • Position may require lifting of objects (i.e., IT Hardware), reaching/bending/kneeling (i.e., plugging in cables), and other moderately strenuous activity.
