About The Position

The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for traveling across Pennsylvania to various client sites to replace outdated desktop and laptop hardware. This full-time position is a 3+ month contract that requires on-site work and involves significant travel during weekdays. The role focuses on providing technical support, managing asset processes, and ensuring client satisfaction through effective problem resolution.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years' experience in IT support environment, preferably as a dispatch field services technician
  • A+ certification required
  • Driver license required
  • Knowledge of Windows Operating system
  • Knowledge of PC hardware and related devices (Mouse, Monitors, speakers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Asset Management
  • Experience with a service desk ticket system
  • Customer Service Orientation with the ability to work calmly and professionally
  • General IT experience and familiarity with terms related to PCs, laptops, printers, networks, software and other IT related assets

Responsibilities

  • Support Asset management policies and processes
  • Provide technical support to clients
  • Perform PC Imaging and Software installation
  • Decommission PCs in accordance with client processes
  • Interact consistently with end-users and IT technical staff to resolve issues
  • Analyze problems/situations and understand their impact on client business
  • Apply problem-solving techniques
  • Respond to client queries and provide timely resolutions
  • Maintain high client satisfaction
  • Maintain positive client relationships even in severe situations
  • Log all related activities for each customer query and handle client data securely
  • Respond to requests for technical assistance in person, via phone, or electronically
  • Follow service desk procedures
  • Redirect problems to appropriate resources
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
  • Track and route problems and requests and document resolutions
  • Stay current with system information, changes, and updates
  • Ensure process conformity and SLAs are accomplished
