The Desktop Support Intern will work with the End User Computing Support Services Team at HealthPartners, providing essential support in hardware and software configuration, troubleshooting, and project participation. This role is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support within a healthcare environment, emphasizing teamwork and a commitment to improving patient care and experience.

  • Performs hardware and software configuration and installation services
  • Performs hardware and software troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, point of sale devices, iPads, iPods, etc.
  • Participates in End User Computing and facility projects as needed
  • Uses the ServiceNow ticketing system to update tickets with status and resolution information
  • Maintains computer asset records with accuracy
  • Follows all required policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift at least 20lbs
  • Background check required
  • Current student or recent graduate in a secondary education program or certification program focusing on information technology
  • Desktop support experience is a plus
  • $20 per hour wage
  • 40 hours per week
