About The Position

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Desktop Support Engineer. This is a full-time contract position for a duration of 12 months located in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be supporting end-users in a fast-paced, growing biotechnology company. You will provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for desktop/laptop platforms, Windows and Mac OS, directory services, print services, telephony, and A/V systems. Your role will assure timely and quality customer service to all customers, promote positive service relationships, and contribute to a supportive and cooperative work environment.

Requirements

  • Technical proficiency in Windows and Microsoft applications.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in supporting Windows operating systems (Windows 10).
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) management, including patching, cabling, and network troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and basic network configuration.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with end-users.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of remote support tools and techniques.
