About The Position

The Desktop Support Coordinator position at the Town of Davie is a full-time role focused on providing advanced technical support for desktop and laptop computer systems, mobile terminal devices, and law enforcement/public safety software and networks. This field-support position involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing Town-owned computer equipment, as well as managing moves, add-ons, and changes. The role also includes warranty repairs, inventory reporting, and end-user training, reporting directly to the Information Technology Supervisor or Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • Five years of full-time experience in a desktop support environment.
  • Possession of A+, N+, and MD-102 certifications or ability to obtain within one year.
  • Valid State of Florida Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • MS-500 or MS-700 certification.
  • Knowledge of current Information Technology industry technologies including Internet hosting and connectivity.
  • Experience with Dell and Lenovo desktops and laptops.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair Town-owned computer and peripheral equipment.
  • Provide support for warranty repairs and inventory reporting.
  • Manage moves, add-ons, and changes for computer systems.
  • Conduct end-user training on computer operations and standard software.
  • Support law enforcement/public safety software and networks.
