About The Position

The Desktop Imaging Specialist is responsible for creating, deploying, and maintaining standardized operating system images across the organization. This role ensures that all desktops and laptops are configured consistently, securely, and efficiently to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience with imaging tools and deployment processes. This position is onsite, 5 days per week located at Atlanta, GA

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 2+ years in desktop imaging, deployment, or IT support roles.
  • Hands-on experience with imaging tools (e.g., Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, SCCM, Ghost).
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and hardware components.
  • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell preferred) for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and end-users.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service mindset with a focus on delivering quality support.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Image Creation: Develop and maintain master images of operating systems, applications, and configurations for enterprise deployment. Ensure images comply with organizational standards and security policies.
  • Image Deployment: Deploy pre-configured images to new or existing computers using manual and automated tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT). Validate successful deployment and perform post-installation checks.
  • Hardware and Software Setup: Physically set up new computers and peripherals. Install and configure required software and drivers to ensure full functionality.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and imaging processes. Provide technical support for deployment failures and system errors.
  • Maintenance: Update and manage images to include new patches, drivers, and applications. Monitor deployment processes and maintain documentation of imaging standards and procedures.
