The Desktop Field Support Specialist position at MIS Technology Group is a full-time role focused on providing on-site technical support for desktop and laptop systems. This position is essential for ensuring that our clients, which include schools, local government, and healthcare organizations, receive timely and effective assistance with their technology needs. As a field support specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a variety of issues related to desktop hardware and software, mobile devices, printers, scanners, copiers, and audio-visual equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to managing support requests and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. In this mid-level position, you will be expected to handle multiple support requests simultaneously, utilizing your analytical skills to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. You will also perform basic Active Directory administration tasks, such as managing user logins and passwords. The role involves upgrading existing customer hardware and software, as well as documenting solutions and maintaining accurate records of your work. A vehicle will be provided for travel to client sites, and you will be supported by an escalation team to assist with more complex issues. We are looking for candidates with 3-5 years of experience in computer and network support, who possess excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing their time effectively. While certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Network+ are preferred, we are also open to training individuals who demonstrate a solid foundation in technical skills and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
