About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Desktop Engineer to support, enhance, and secure our end-user computing environment. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth in modern device management, Windows endpoint engineering, application deployment, and automation. This role provides advanced (L3) support, improves endpoint reliability, and contributes to enterprise technology initiatives that enhance productivity across the organization.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in desktop engineering, systems administration, or end-user computing roles.
  • Strong expertise with Windows 10/11, endpoint management, and enterprise-level troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Intune MDM/MAM, Autopilot, and/or SCCM for imaging, configuration, and application deployment.
  • PowerShell scripting experience for automation and system management.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), Group Policy, and O365 administration.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing systems.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • experience with VDI technologies (Citrix, AVD, Windows 365).
  • Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft/MDM certifications, ITIL Foundation.

Responsibilities

  • Build, optimize, and maintain standardized Windows desktop images using tools such as Intune, Autopilot, and SCCM.
  • Package, deploy, update, and support applications using modern deployment practices.
  • Monitor endpoint performance, compliance, and security posture across the organization.
  • Implement policies for patching, endpoint protection, data loss prevention, and device hardening.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex desktop, hardware, software, and application issues.
  • Provide support for AV systems in conference rooms, training rooms, and similar environments.
  • Automate repetitive engineering tasks using PowerShell and modern management tools.
  • Maintain and improve device provisioning, deployment workflows, and lifecycle processes.
  • Manage hardware inventory, asset tracking, and procurement needs.
  • Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and business units to ensure desktop platforms meet requirements.
  • Participate in system upgrades, migrations, rollouts, and endpoint-related IT projects.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning as it relates to end-user computing.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.
