Baylor University is seeking the Desktop Configuration Specialist to support the mission and vision of Baylor University within the Department of ITS Client Services.
Install new computers, printers, mobile devices and equipment as requested
Transfer client's operating system, applications and documents from one computer to another using imaging, data transfer, and conversion software
Test computer system and applications to determine that the operating system and all converted software applications are working properly.
Maintain database of hardware and software inventory-Provide reports and studies for inventory analysis
Research and test computer systems and applications to determine effectiveness
Provide access to data files as needed
Seek out and take continuous training to drive improvement in job execution.
Seek personal improvement suggestions from mentors, peers and managers.
Identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction through improved processes and tools.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
An Associate's degree and one year of relevant work experience is required.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
A Bachelors degree and three years of relevant experience are preferred.
