About The Position

The Desktop Engineer will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to IT support and hardware management. This includes coordinating data recovery, managing hardware refresh cycles, and overseeing warranty and out-of-warranty repairs and replacements. The role also involves providing walk-up support, managing spare parts, and offering first-level troubleshooting for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). Additionally, the Desktop Engineer will provide executive support, audio and video support, and manage inventory and asset operations. The position requires collaboration with external vendors for dispatch support and involves identifying and resolving hardware and software application conflicts. The Desktop Engineer will also be responsible for opening and closing service requests, managing asset tagging, and ensuring proper onboarding of new hires. Weekly reporting on physical inventory counts and coordination with suppliers for hardware repairs are also key responsibilities.
