We are looking for a dependable and professional Full Time Desk Clerk to join our team. Description: Make dorm room keys. Conduct student counts. Assign rooms to students, including assembly of student packets & room keys for distribution by the Visitor’s Center. Answer inquiries pertaining to establishment services, shopping, dining, class locations, and transportation schedules. Provide customer service to students staying in assigned dorms. Answer the telephone and emails as needed, taking detailed notes if warranted. Turn in work orders. Light housekeeping. Pull trash and keep restrooms and common areas clean as needed. Self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision. Assist with other dormitory-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of one year in a related field performing similar job tasks.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, with a valid U.S. Passport or REAL ID.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must be able to follow detailed orders, instructions, and training materials.
  • Must be available to support scheduled days, nights, and weekend shifts in support of 24/7 operations.
  • Must have great customer service skills and be able to interact with the general public.
  • Must be able to maintain composure and self-control under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and electronically.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.
  • Pass a background check and physical examination.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be able to type 40 words per minute with 95% accuracy.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (must be obtained within 30 days of employment if not currently held).
