Overnight Front Desk Agent Overview: This team member is responsible for providing a professional and welcoming experience to all guests during overnight hours while ensuring the property operates smoothly and securely. Overnight Front Desk Agents serve as ambassadors of the resort, assisting with late arrivals and early departures, addressing guest needs, and maintaining a calm and attentive presence throughout the night. This role also includes completing nightly audit functions, reconciling accounts, and preparing reports to ensure accuracy for the following day. They work closely with all hotel departments, especially Security, Housekeeping, and the Front Office team, to ensure a seamless overnight operation.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately input and reconcile data.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight hours.
  • Basic accounting or auditing experience preferred.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in a calm, efficient manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow through.
  • Ability to remain alert and professional during overnight shifts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous cashiering or accounting experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
  • Previous guest relations training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours in accordance with Omni’s Moments of Service and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide attentive guest service by addressing overnight inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Set up and maintain accurate guest accounts, including room assignments, payment methods, and preferences.
  • Complete all night audit procedures, including balancing room revenue, posting charges, and reconciling daily transactions.
  • Generate and distribute nightly reports for management and department review.
  • Ensure accuracy of folios, routing of charges, and adjustments in accordance with Omni accounting standards.
  • Monitor hotel activity overnight to ensure safety and security of guests and team members.
  • Communicate any significant events, guest concerns, or operational updates to morning leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all guest and hotel information.
  • Assist with room blocking, pre-registrations, and preparation for the following day’s arrivals.
  • Resolve discrepancies between the front desk system and Housekeeping room status reports.
  • Document all guest requests, concerns, or incidents and follow through to resolution when possible.
  • Issue and manage safe deposit boxes while maintaining strict security protocols.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities, and emergency procedures.
  • Perform light administrative or operational support tasks as needed during slower overnight periods.
