About The Position

Works with members of the sales team to effectively provide creative solutions and presentations, technical support and accurate specifications in a timely manner to both internal and external customers that will deliver the Ultimate Corrugated Experience and promote the Service Promise. Key Responsibilities: Ability to understand performance of each type of board grade, medium and liner combination. Understands customer products/needs, Welch business strategy, Welch sales strategy and overall packing requirements for projects. Utilization of TOPs program to analyze the performance needs of structure being provided to the customer. Supplies final CADs for production runs and sample designs for approval/signoff by customer. Ability to use 3-D software (Artios) for development of products or presentations for customers. Formulate and communicate ideas for new accounts or products while analyzing customer needs and production feasibility. Accompany Sales Representatives on occasion to present new designs or presentations to customers or prospects. Works with customer service representative or sales representative to review accounts and make recommendations for update on style, board weight and new products. Meet deadlines for design requests/samples based on information supplied from sales representative or production. Adhere to and support all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping

Requirements

  • College degree in Business, Organizational Management, Structural Design or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of designer experience
  • TOPs program for pallet efficiencies and stacking strength
  • Artios program for package design
  • Proficiency in SQL, ETL tools, API’s and Power BI
  • Experience with Windows operation systems
  • Strong written and oral communication.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
